Meet
Our mascots

They tried to shelve it. They tried to stop me from revealing the information. But no secret will stay buried.
Norok, private detective

Case #: 00062142001

Bust photo of Bombom
  • CODENAME: Bombom
  • SPECIES: Cat
  • IDENTIFICATION: Black Fur
  • DECLARED ORIGIN: Fantastic Candy Factory
  • OCCUPATION: Mascot / possible professional barbecue eater
  • AFFILIATION: Brasil FurFest
  • RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Complicated after 4 caipirinhas
  • SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Unexplained weight gain during conventions
  • SEIZED MATERIAL: Adult magazine with Cacau on the cover
  • GREATEST WEAKNESS: All-you-can-eat buffet
  • CONNECTION TO THE CHAIRMAN: Unproven
  • ALIBI: “Meow.”
  • ALIBI RELIABILITY: Questionable

Bombom appeared after events related to the Fantastic Candy Factory and was quickly spotted wandering around Brasil FurFest. Witnesses describe a gentle black cat, extremely friendly and, above all, very hungry.

His impressive weight gain during conventions raised one of the oldest suspicions involving the mascots: was the chairman the one wearing Bombom? The theory was never proven. Records show the chairman and Bombom appearing in seemingly incompatible places, although investigators do not rule out the use of body doubles, secret passages or furry technology still unknown.

Bombom shows an obvious weakness for printed magazines. Seized documents indicate that he carefully kept a copy of a certain magazine starring the white cat. When questioned about it, Bombom reportedly remained silent because he is, technically, a cat.

OTHER FACTS UNDER INVESTIGATION: Bombom possibly has three stomachs; believes caipirinha contains enough vitamin C to count as healthy; allegedly tried to pay for a skewer using old BFF badges; sleeps through important meetings with his eyes open; and there are suspicions that his real job at the convention is inspecting the quality of the buffet.

UNANSWERED QUESTIONS:

  • Who is really inside Bombom?
  • Why does he get so big at the convention?
  • How many caipirinhas does it take to knock out a cat that size?
  • Who made a magazine with Cacau on the cover?
  • Does Cacau know about this?
  • If Bombom was being played by the chairman, who was on stage playing the chairman?

Case #: 00062142067

Bust photo of Bombom
  • CODENAME: Cacau
  • SPECIES: Cat
  • IDENTIFICATION: White fur, pink and purple eyes
  • DECLARED ORIGIN: Furtropolis?
  • OCCUPATION: Mascot / former villain / repeat suspect
  • AFFILIATION: Brasil FurFest
  • RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single
  • Criminal record: Destruction of a city, assault and temporal interference
  • Side career: Adult magazine model
  • GREATEST WEAKNESS: Bombom, though she will never admit it
  • Latest victim: A UniFur professor
  • ALIBI: “It was already like that when I got here.”
  • ALIBI RELIABILITY: Zero

The white cat was first seen destroying Furtropolis, introducing herself as Maumau, a villain whose goal apparently consisted of causing chaos simply because she found it fun. No political manifesto, plan for world domination or plausible justification was ever found.

Later identified as Cacau, the suspect reappeared involved in the Time Battery case, helping Bombom with the investigation. During the incident, she allegedly even assaulted a UniFur professor after a particularly confusing interview. Investigators are still trying to determine whether the assault helped restore the space-time continuum. Some say it did.

The situation became even more suspicious after investigators found out that Cacau once posed for the cover of an adult magazine. One copy apparently belongs to Bombom. Cacau declined to comment on the photos, the image rights or why the magazine was mysteriously autographed.

OTHER FACTS UNDER INVESTIGATION: Cacau possibly keeps an alphabetically sorted list of enemies; nobody knows where she got permission to destroy Furtropolis; she allegedly threatened to change the timeline again because she was bored; she claims she doesn’t like trouble, even though evidence piled up over the years points to exactly the opposite; and experts suspect that her pink and purple eyes may emit some kind of radiation responsible for Bombom‘s questionable decisions.

UNANSWERED QUESTIONS:

  • Are Maumau and Cacau really the same cat?
  • Why did Furtropolis need to be destroyed?
  • What was in that magazine?
  • Why does Bombom have a copy?
  • Who took the photos?
  • Did the UniFur professor deserve it?
  • Did Cacau help Bombom save the timeline out of heroism or because she needed the universe to keep existing so she could cause trouble in it?
  • Does she predict when something is going to go wrong… or is she the one making it go wrong?
